The government recently announced £1 billion of grant funding to support organisations and schools with upgrading their energy solutions, including heating and lighting systems. The Public Sector Decarbonisation Grant Scheme is being delivered by Salix, and is aimed at supporting jobs across the energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation sectors, and will help deliver significant carbon savings.
Energy consultants can support funding efforts for schools and public sector non-domestic buildings across England by completing application documents, providing energy audits, and by facilitating implementation of the proposed decarbonisation solution.
We’re experienced with delivering Lighting as a Service (LaaS) projects, and can work seamlessly with you on the energy efficiency solution. We can provide a free lighting audit ahead of the application phase, and then work with you on the client’s proposal all the way through to implementation and on-going maintenance.
In the event that the application isn’t successful then we can still supply an energy efficient lighting solution that will deliver guaranteed cost savings for the school or organisation. There are no upfront costs, just a simple monthly service fee which is always lower than the energy savings which we unlock – meaning you generate net savings from year one.
The deadlines for Salix applications are short, with a key submission date of the 11th of December for those that wish to have their project assessed before the end of 2020. It’s important that quick action is taken if you wish to meet these deadlines.
